Welcome to the Methil Heritage Trail! You are about to embark on a journey through 500 years of world-changing history.
Methil is a fascinating place with lots of history and culture which we will share with you over the next hour or so. We will learn about life on the rough sea, the tough conditions working underground and the future of clean energy for all.
Along the route, there are refreshments, rest breaks, art galleries, souvenir shops and Methil’s own museum.

We start our tour at Bawbee Bridge which spans over the River Leven and the brand new Leven Railway Station.
Our tour starts by following the road, keeping the River Leven to your left hand side.
