Welcome to the Letham Glen Nature Trail!
You are about to walk through a varied landscape, starting from the sunken garden on your left and then leading on to a wilder stretch of scenic woodland either side of the “Scoonie Burn”.
This trail begins at the large sign just inside the main entrance to Letham Glen.

This trail is suitable for walkers, cyclists and wheelchairs with some off-road ability. It will take about an hour and is of medium difficulty. It’s suitable for children and dogs (with ample bins), and though it isn’t the most wheelchair friendly route, it is possible with decent wheels and a competent pilot.
Toilets are available in the small building near you.
The route can be muddy in poor weather, so rugged footwear is advised.

Your experience will vary with the seasons (and the weather!). In spring the trees ahead of you are covered with beautiful pink cherry blossom, and further up the Glen you’ll see bluebells and primroses under the newly-in-leaf woodland.
In autumn the leaves are a riot of golden colours. Benches are situated at various points on the trail for you to relax and enjoy the woodland.
