Welcome to Lower Largo and the Crusoe’s Footsteps Trail. On this journey we will learn all about the history of the area, visit new places and maybe spot one of the most famous sailors in history.

You can reach this point from Leven station on foot in about ninety minutes – follow the Leven to Lower Largo Discovery Trail.

This short, flat route through Lower Largo will give you a background to the history of the area. We'll learn about the people who lived in Lower Largo and how things have changed over the years. We'll learn how the sea has both provided for the local people, but also taken away. And of course, we'll learn a little bit about one of Britain's most famous sailors, Alexander Selkirk...better known as Robinson Crusoe!
