If you continue along the path, it will take you to Buckhaven. However, we’ll go back the way we came.

As we head down here, look out for whales and dolphins in the sea! They’re regular visitors in the Firth of Forth.

We’ll head back past Johnathan’s cave and along the front of the car park we just visited.

We will be following the Fife Coastal Path for the rest of our journey. Follow the signs as indicated below.

Fife Coastal Path
The Fife Coastal Path is one of Scotland's most celebrated long-distance walking routes, stretching approximately 117 miles (188 kilometers) from the Firth of Forth in the south to the Firth of Tay in the north. It offers stunning coastal scenery, rich history, and a variety of wildlife, making it a popular destination for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. The path begins at Kincardine and ends at Newburgh, covering a diverse range of landscapes including sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, charming fishing villages, and historic towns. The Fife Coastal Path varies in difficulty, with some sections being easy and accessible, suitable for families and casual walkers, while other sections are more challenging, requiring a good level of fitness and proper gear. The route is well-signposted, making it easy to follow. Maps and guidebooks are also available to help plan the journey.
