Wemyss Caves Museum
The museum is normally open every Sunday between 1:30pm and 5pm from April to September. The guided tours depart at 2pm and 2:30pm. The organisation Save Wemyss Ancient Caves Society work to protect the Wemyss Caves. These caves, such as Court Cave, Doo Cave, and Jonathan's Cave, contain ancient symbols and inscriptions believed to date back to the 6th and 9th centuries. These carvings provide valuable insights into the life and beliefs of the Picts, a group of Celtic-speaking people who lived here during the Late Iron Age and Early Medieval periods. The tour is a great experience and I highly recommend it!
