At these crossroads, we will turn left. But before we do that, there’s a couple of buildings to note.

Firstly, before 1900, on the corner where you’re now stood, there was a chandlers and
coal carrier named Buttercase. Later the coal carrying business was operated by Harris who carried coal from Kirkcaldy to Cellardyke. Coal was very important to society as a mean of heating homes and powering industry; Levenmouth as a whole was very important to the British coal industry – check out the Methil Heritage Trail for more about that.

Now follow South Feus towards the sea where we’ll get some tremendous views.
