Lying in the shadow of the iconic Largo Law, Upper Largo is home to rich history dating back hundreds of years. This accessible trail will guide you around and delve into the stories of this wonderful place.
This trail will take you around one hour.
Our trail begins at the Simpson Institute on the main road. You can get here from Leven station using a number of different buses or it’s a ninety minute walk.
Follow the Leven to Lower Largo trail, then Crusoe’s Footsteps and use the extension at the end up the Serpentine walk.

This trail explores the village exploring the old buildings and the people that once lived in them, their stories and how Upper Largo fitted in with the rest of Scotland throughout the centuries. We'll get great views of Largo Bay from our elevated position.
