Point 2

Welcome to St David’s Church. Built in the very early 20th Century with the first stone being laid in 1901, it is designed in a Gothic Revival style, which was popular during that period. Note the traditional Gothic elements such as pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and flying buttresses, which contribute to its historical and aesthetic significance.

The church was a popular venue for worship and community celebrations for many years, however is now longer serving this purpose and its future is uncertain. Churches all over Scotland are seeing a decline in use and many are being put up for sale.

What would you do with a church building?
